COVID-19: Important information for your stay at our hotel
Ladies and gentlemen,
dear guests,
We take your safety and well-being, as well as the one of our employees, as our utmost priority; therefore we have implemented and adhere to the highest standards of safety, hygiene and disinfection to address COVID-19 in collaboration with international medical experts and following the recommendations of the Robert-Koch Institute and the current Corona ordinance of the federal state of North-Rhine Westphalia. Please note that the federal regulations are subject to constant change, therefore all information on this website is without guarantee. We try to keep the information as up-to-date as possible.
An overview of our measures to ensure the safety of our guests and employees in the different hotel areas:
General
Who is authorised to stay at our hotel?
For leisure travels the 2G-rule applies, which means only fully vaccinated or recovered people are allowed to stay at the hotel.
For non-touristic trips (e.g. business travel, private trips for a funeral) the 3G-rule applies. The negative test must not be older than 24 hours (antigen tests) or 48 hours (PCR tests). Retesting every 2 days is required.
There are exceptions from the 2G-rule for people who cannot be vaccinated due to medical reasons (medical certificate not older than 6 weeks + negative test required) or children and adolescents up to the age of 15 years with a negative test result.
Where are the closest test stations?
There are several test facilities close to the hotel:
- Test centre Forum Duisburg: approx. 5 minutes (400 m) on foot
- Test centre König-Heinrich-Platz: approx. 3 minutes (250 m) on foot
- Test centre Theater am Marientor: approx. 20 minutes (1.5 km) on foot or 10 minutes by tram/underground

What is the maximum number of people allowed in one hotel room?
The maximum number of people and households allowed in one room is subject to the current incidence rate.
Is the wearing of a mask mandatory in the hotel?
Yes, it is mandatory to wear a surgical mask or an FFP2 mask at all times in all public hotel areas.
Is there the possibility of digital contact tracing?
No, all relevant data for contact tracing at our hotel is collected manually.
Further measures taken by the hotel:
- Disinfectant dispensers are available in all public hotel areas.
- In order to keep the minimum safety distance, all public hotel areas are lined with floor markings.
- In order to protect both our guests and employees, the front desk is equipped with plexiglass panes.
- Access to lifts and the reception area is limited to a certain number of people. For more information, please refer to the signage on site.
- Compliance with all safety guidelines issued by the local authorities as well as additional safety and hygiene measures is regularly checked.
Gastronomy
Access to gastronomy is only granted with valid proof of vaccination or recovery together with a negative test certificate no older than 24 hours or with valid proof of a booster vaccination.
Breakfast
We offer our full breakfast buffet again, in compliance with the currently valid distance and hygiene regulation. No table bookings required.
Breakfast hours:
daily 6:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
Restaurant & hotel bar
Unfortunately the restaurant and bar remain closed until presumably January 30, 2022.
Room service
Our room service is available from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the mornings and from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the evenings.
Half board
Currently we do not offer half board.
Wellness & Fitness
Our gym is open daily betwen 9:00 a.m and 9:00 p.m. Proof of vaccination or recovery is required for admission.
Meetings & Events
Function rooms
Due to the current situation, our function room capacities are limited to a maximum of 40 people. Also the event offer is subject to the current federal regulations. Contact us for any further questions.
